Here are some pictures from my birthday "potluck".
I had a really good time, and am glad for all of those who were able to make it.
For those of you in the Silicon Valley who think I'm too far away, please keep in mind that Stefano and Jen live up in the Santa Cruz mountains, and Matthew came up from Merced.
Looks like this beard isn't coming in very cleanly, time to go ahead and take it back to just the Goatee/Van Dyke from my site picture above. New images coming soon.
The new camera shutter remote is working great, it's not to have the half-press focus and shutter release on the same button. Only problem that I see is that the remote receiver is designed to sit in the hotshoe, but the remote transmitter for my strobes also sits in the hotshoe and neither of them have a second shoe for the other.
Since the transmitter for the strobes actually uses the shoe, this thing is going to hang loose.
For $11.00 on Amazon, and the fact that it actually works as designed, I'm not going to complain too much.
This Bunny is like 3x the size it was when she got it. And it was pulling on my camera strap and my pants
Silly rabbit, pants are for wearing... :P
Last night, I decided to dig out the camera when I saw the light hitting my pool table a certain way. I have some ideas for imagery, and here's the first of them.
Enjoying a glass of my favorite Merlot, while this is certainly not the most expensive wine on the market. Well... it's pretty cheap actually. Here in California, you can get it for less than $10 per half gallon. (1.5 liters). But, to me, it has a good taste and goes well with pasta or steak. Here I am, sitting on the couch, watching TV, playing with my camera looking at this glass.
So now that I have merged my two websites (my personal blog) and my "Professional Photography" site to create a site which is both Photography and Information Security, as well as maintain a personal blog; I am looking for a "good" photo gallery package that will fit well, or directly plug into this new infrastructure.
Hope you had a Happy and Safe 4th of July. Happy Birthday to the United States of America.
